We are Cistercians –
more commonly-known as Trappistines.
Gathered by the call of God, we constitute a monastic church following the Rule of St. Benedict.
The monastery is a school of the Lord’s service where Christ is formed in the hearts of the sisters.
Our life is simple, joyful and fraternal.
Pray
PRAY
In the Eucharist and in the liturgy of the hours, we “express in a luminous way our vocation to divine praise, to intercession for the Church and for the world, in communion with the prayer of all Christians.

WORK
Work, especially manual work, has always held a place in the Cistercian tradition. Through the work of our hands, we support our community and the needs of the poor and sick who come to our door
love
LOVE
Each sister has received the Lord’s invitation to the monastic life, and this is the source of our unity – “the love of Christ has gathered us together, and in this love we find the source of all our gladness. . .”
The Monastic Day
All are invited to join us for the Divine Office.
All the liturgical offices are celebrated in the Abbey Church. A sister assigned to assist the guests provides books for the various offices. Please inform the guest mistress if you would like to attend Vigils.
The love of Christ has gathered us together
In spite of our evident personal diversity, we can live together through the power of the Holy Spirit, which makes us one community in Christ.
Our life springs forth and gives witness to that desire that lives in the heart of every person -to know God and to experience His Love.

Our Work
In the Cistercian tradition, work has always held a special place –
“for they are truly monks who live by the work of their hands…”
We work to support ourselves and
to assist the poor and the sick who come to our door.
